How Does Paint by Numbers Work?
It's pretty simple: your canvas has numbered sections, and your paint pots have matching numbers. Find number 1 on the canvas, grab paint pot 1, and fill in that area. Then move on to number 2, and so on.
You work section by section, and before you know it, a real painting appears. It's surprisingly calming – great for winding down after work or spending a quiet evening at home.
Check the selected product listing for the included canvas, numbered acrylic paints, brushes and instructions. Package contents and any separately sold accessories vary by product.

Frequently asked questions
How should I crop a photo of two people for paint by numbers?
Give both faces enough room and remove unnecessary background if it makes the people very small. A close portrait and a wide celebration scene need different amounts of canvas space. Our size guidance for couple and group photos helps you compare options.
Does every custom photo kit have 48 colours?
No. A kit can have up to 48 colours, with the number determined by the source image. A simple composition needs a different range of shades from a detailed picture. Colour count alone does not tell you whether a photograph suits paint by numbers.
Do catalogue and custom photo kits have the same return terms for the Netherlands?
No. Cancellation and return terms differ for standard products and clearly personalised photo kits. Our terms allow cancellation of a custom order before production starts; your rights concerning defects remain. Read the full cancellation and return guidance before buying.
