Choose a high-quality image

The image you upload should be of high quality to ensure it can be printed clearly on canvas. If the image is blurry or grainy, we won't be able to achieve the best possible result for the painting.

 

Consider the image details

When selecting an image, make sure it is not too detailed. For example, photos taken from afar with many details may not be the best option for a perfect result, as very small details are impossible to paint accurately and important parts might be left out of the painting. Paint by Numbers paintings made from simple close-ups are easier to match the original image.

Think about the colour scheme

Consider the colour scheme of the image you choose. If the image has too many colours, the painting may not match the original image, as our paintings use a maximum of 48 colours, whereas photographs can contain thousands or millions of different colours. 

Choose an image that has meaning for you

Finally, choose an image that has personal significance for you. Perhaps it's a picture of your pet, a beautiful landscape from your last vacation, a portrait of a loved one, or the logo/mascot of your favorite team. When you paint an image that has meaning for you, completing it or giving it as a gift is even more rewarding.
