Whiskey Decanter and Sunset

This paint by numbers features an ornate crystal whiskey decanter sitting on a wooden table, accompanied by a cigar cutter. Behind the decanter is a large window framing a harbor scene at sunset, with city buildings, cranes, and boats silhouetted against the orange sky. The interplay of light on the glass, the warm amber whiskey, and the soft reflections on the water all provide interesting challenges for painters. Urban and still life fans will appreciate the crisp lines and layered tones. This kit is perfect for anyone who enjoys careful brushwork and painting realistic details.

Paint by numbers is a relaxing way to create real art — no prior experience needed. Follow the numbered areas, and you'll have a finished painting ready to frame. Perfect for unwinding after work or as a mindful weekend project.

How to get started

  1. Preparation: Check that the package contains all the supplies. Have a glass of water and paper towels nearby for cleaning brushes.
  2. Work order: Start from the top of the canvas and work downwards. This way, you avoid your hand touching wet paint as the work progresses.
  3. One color at a time: Paint all areas of the same number at once. Keep paint cups closed when not in use to prevent acrylic paint from drying.
  4. Brush maintenance: Wash and dry the brush thoroughly each time you change colors. If light paint doesn't cover the number, let it dry and add another layer.
