Squirrel and Birds in Winter Forest

This paint by numbers features a red squirrel sitting on a snow-covered branch in the heart of a dense winter forest. Several small birds perch on icy branches, surrounded by tall snow-laden fir and pine trees. The rich brown of the squirrel stands out against the crisp white snow, making color contrasts enjoyable to paint. The birds add extra detail and interest, ideal for those who enjoy painting animals and nature scenes. Suitable for patient painters who appreciate intricate images and a peaceful winter atmosphere.

Paint by numbers is a relaxing way to create real art — no prior experience needed. Follow the numbered areas, and you'll have a finished painting ready to frame. Perfect for unwinding after work or as a mindful weekend project.

How to get started

  1. Preparation: Check that the package contains all the supplies. Have a glass of water and paper towels nearby for cleaning brushes.
  2. Work order: Start from the top of the canvas and work downwards. This way, you avoid your hand touching wet paint as the work progresses.
  3. One color at a time: Paint all areas of the same number at once. Keep paint cups closed when not in use to prevent acrylic paint from drying.
  4. Brush maintenance: Wash and dry the brush thoroughly each time you change colors. If light paint doesn't cover the number, let it dry and add another layer.
