A herringbone brick path leads to a grey garden gate, with a pale cottage behind it. Red, pink and purple tulips line the path among blue forget-me-nots, beside a clipped hedge and yellow blooms. A rabbit sits upright on its hind legs, gazing upward, while tulip shadows fall across the bricks in deep red stripes.

Forget-me-nots are the most detailed part, their tiny blue petals and pale centres packed closely together. The tulip petals layer red and pink in curved shapes. Dark petrol-blue foliage fills broad areas, as do the rabbit's brown fur and the orange bricks.

How to get started

  1. Preparation: Check that the package contains all the supplies. Have a glass of water and paper towels nearby for cleaning brushes.
  2. Work order: Start from the top of the canvas and work downwards. This way, you avoid your hand touching wet paint as the work progresses.
  3. One color at a time: Paint all areas of the same number at once. Keep paint cups closed when not in use to prevent acrylic paint from drying.
  4. Brush maintenance: Wash and dry the brush thoroughly each time you change colors. If light paint doesn't cover the number, let it dry and add another layer.
