A clear summer sky with two white clouds hangs over a field edge crowded with flowers. Large red poppies, blue cornflowers and daisies grow among grain ears and green seed pods, and one fallen petal rests between the stems. Green stems, pale golden ears and light blue sky cover most of the canvas, filling in as broad, even areas.

Poppy petals shift from bright red to deep crimson, with black stamens circling each pale green seed head. Jagged cornflower petals and individual grains form small, precise areas.

How to get started

  1. Preparation: Check that the package contains all the supplies. Have a glass of water and paper towels nearby for cleaning brushes.
  2. Work order: Start from the top of the canvas and work downwards. This way, you avoid your hand touching wet paint as the work progresses.
  3. One color at a time: Paint all areas of the same number at once. Keep paint cups closed when not in use to prevent acrylic paint from drying.
  4. Brush maintenance: Wash and dry the brush thoroughly each time you change colors. If light paint doesn't cover the number, let it dry and add another layer.
