Pears and Plums on Plate

This paint by numbers features a still life of green and yellow pears with dark plums arranged on a round plate. The plate sits on a wooden table, and delicate white flowers and green leaves are scattered around the fruit. In the background, a misty cityscape and soft window light add depth and atmosphere to the scene. The color palette blends greens, yellows, purples, and soft greys, offering interesting contrasts and shading for painters. This kit is perfect for anyone who enjoys still life, varied color transitions, and painting fine details.

Paint by numbers is a relaxing way to create real art — no prior experience needed. Follow the numbered areas, and you'll have a finished painting ready to frame. Perfect for unwinding after work or as a mindful weekend project.

How to get started

  1. Preparation: Check that the package contains all the supplies. Have a glass of water and paper towels nearby for cleaning brushes.
  2. Work order: Start from the top of the canvas and work downwards. This way, you avoid your hand touching wet paint as the work progresses.
  3. One color at a time: Paint all areas of the same number at once. Keep paint cups closed when not in use to prevent acrylic paint from drying.
  4. Brush maintenance: Wash and dry the brush thoroughly each time you change colors. If light paint doesn't cover the number, let it dry and add another layer.
