Lion Portrait

This paint by numbers features a close-up of a lion’s face with its mane flowing outwards, filling most of the canvas. The lion gazes forward, and its calm expression is highlighted by subtle shading and detailed fur. Rich tones of beige, brown, and hints of green in the background provide interesting color contrasts and depth. Painting the mane offers an engaging challenge with its varied hues and fine lines. This kit is perfect for animal enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys bringing expressive details to life.

Paint by numbers is a relaxing way to create real art — no prior experience needed. Follow the numbered areas, and you'll have a finished painting ready to frame. Perfect for unwinding after work or as a mindful weekend project.

How to get started

  1. Preparation: Check that the package contains all the supplies. Have a glass of water and paper towels nearby for cleaning brushes.
  2. Work order: Start from the top of the canvas and work downwards. This way, you avoid your hand touching wet paint as the work progresses.
  3. One color at a time: Paint all areas of the same number at once. Keep paint cups closed when not in use to prevent acrylic paint from drying.
  4. Brush maintenance: Wash and dry the brush thoroughly each time you change colors. If light paint doesn't cover the number, let it dry and add another layer.
