A hare sits upright in a spring meadow, gazing sideways with its long ears raised against a golden sun. Blossoming branches arch overhead, and the gilded curves of an Art Nouveau frame enclose the scene. The hare's fur is the most demanding part: beige, brown and near-black strokes alternate in small patches that build the direction of the coat.

Green runs through the meadow, the foliage and the leafy curls of the frame, and these areas are painted as broader surfaces. Blue bell-shaped flowers and pale yellow primroses fill the foreground with dense small shapes, while the clouds are painted in looser, lighter tones.

How to get started

  1. Preparation: Check that the package contains all the supplies. Have a glass of water and paper towels nearby for cleaning brushes.
  2. Work order: Start from the top of the canvas and work downwards. This way, you avoid your hand touching wet paint as the work progresses.
  3. One color at a time: Paint all areas of the same number at once. Keep paint cups closed when not in use to prevent acrylic paint from drying.
  4. Brush maintenance: Wash and dry the brush thoroughly each time you change colors. If light paint doesn't cover the number, let it dry and add another layer.
