Abstract Draped Fabric

This paint by numbers features a twisting, layered piece of fabric set against a dark, complex background. The folds and sharp edges create interesting shapes and depth, while varying tones of blue, purple, beige, and orange give the piece dimension. Painting the many sections lets you experiment with contrast and shading. Great for anyone who enjoys abstract patterns or wants to try a modern look. Focused work on the fabric's curves and shadows will keep you engaged from start to finish.

Paint by numbers is a relaxing way to create real art — no prior experience needed. Follow the numbered areas, and you'll have a finished painting ready to frame. Perfect for unwinding after work or as a mindful weekend project.

How to get started

  1. Preparation: Check that the package contains all the supplies. Have a glass of water and paper towels nearby for cleaning brushes.
  2. Work order: Start from the top of the canvas and work downwards. This way, you avoid your hand touching wet paint as the work progresses.
  3. One color at a time: Paint all areas of the same number at once. Keep paint cups closed when not in use to prevent acrylic paint from drying.
  4. Brush maintenance: Wash and dry the brush thoroughly each time you change colors. If light paint doesn't cover the number, let it dry and add another layer.
